Captured in her natural ethereal state by Brad Danner Photography

Carly Fisher is an award-winning writer, author, speaker, and branding expert covering the cultural intersection of sensory experiences at-large. Her first book, "Easy Weekend Getaways in the Hudson Valley & Catskills: Short Breaks from New York City" is available internationally through Countryman Press/W.W. Norton.

An authority on food, travel, cannabis and lifestyle, her work has been featured in GQ, Fodor's Travel, Plate Magazine, Bon Appetit, Edible, Food & Wine, Saveur, and Wine Enthusiast. In 2018, she earned a James Beard Foundation Award nomination for her work on CNN Travel's interactive digital feature, "Family Meal." She has been featured on the Travel Channel, NBC, EightFortyEight, and has been a guest speaker at the Women Chefs and Restaurateurs Conference and Food Writers' Workshop.

Drawn to experimental ideas in art, music, mysticism, pharmacology, esoterica and culture, she is the former edibles columnist for Snoop Dogg's Merry Jane and cannabis astrologer for Leafly, and and currently runs an experimental literary subscription-based Substack journal called The Weed Witch. She is passionate about pragmatic harm reduction through the power of education and storytelling, frequently demystifying the cultural perception of complex topics like terroir, lifestyle, mental health, ancient holistic practices, women's reproductive health, and policy initiatives. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering with children and seniors on progressive community-based initiatives.

A pioneer in custom content, she is also an award-winning creative strategist and consultant who is passionate about helping forward-thinking brands tell their stories. She frequently tapped by companies of all sizes to consult on custom storytelling, corporate communications, content strategy and creative copy direction. More on that here.

She lives in New York City, always within reach of a slice shop.
